dR. rOBYN kATZ
After graduating with Honors from the University of Michigan, I
received my Master's of Education degree at the University of Texas in
the field of Sports Management. I then became the Director of Community
Relations and Marketing for the Austin Toros. In 2005, I began my
teaching career at Mendez Middle School, where I taught 6th grade
Science and coached girls’ soccer.
With a passion for the law, I decided to return to school for my law degree, and attended Texas Tech University School of Law. While at Texas Tech School of Law, I became very involved in the community, especially animal welfare. During law school, I competed in national mock trial and legislative competitions at Harvard and George Washington University, and was a finalist three times. After graduating, I worked as an attorney for an animal welfare nonprofit in Washington, DC. In 2010, I moved to San Antonio and worked as is an Assistant District Attorney for the Bexar County District Attorney's Office, in the Family Violence Division. In 2012, I opened up my own law firm, the Katz Law Firm, and practice Family Law, Animal Law, and Wills. Since law school, I have presented over 30 cases to juries, and over 500 cases to judges.
In my free time, I enjoy volunteering with local animal shelters, jogging outside, traveling, and spending time with my crazy rescue lab, Pedro. Oh, and I can’t forget cheering on the Wolverines! GO BLUE!
